I have used the Guerisson's 9 Complex, both the cream and the serum and love them both...and I had read how healing horse oil can be. I am extremely sensitive to sunlight and get horrible swollen rashes, hives and blisters from momentary exposure, mostly wherever my skin is thinnest such as the inner elbow, decollete and neck, etc. It sucks. I end up with uncomfortable pink and red irritable skin after answering the door without being fully covered. I decided to give this a try, encouraged that it was fragrance free and contained no ingredients other than the horse oil (as I understand it, no animal died for its processing nor it this a product of the food industry). There is absolutely no aroma whatsoever. It does not come with a spatula but I used one I already had so as not to stick my fingers in the jar. The oil looks like a cloudy gel but has the texture of a lightweight, almost dry oil. A little goes a long way, start out by trying only a very small amount, it spreads well. Miraculously, as I massaged a small amount onto the swollen, lumpy rash on my inner elbow and arm I could actually feel the rash shrinking until it had completely dissipated. While I could still see the faint shadow of a rash for a few days, my skin felt completely smooth, soft and without greasy residue. The result has been far better than any of the prescription steroid creams I have ever used, I've really been amazed. I've read that biological oils such as Emu Oil and Horse Oil can help other skincare actives penetrate into the skin and seal in moisture if used lightly over the other skincare products. It's not as noticeable an effect as the healing of my rashes but I has applied a small amount as my last skincare step at night and my face and neck look great in the morning. The jar is made of a heavy frosted glass, I dropped it on my hardwood floor and it didn't break. I realize many wouldn't be comfortable using 100% Horse Oil but I'm not vegan and it was very easy to go from hesitant to amazed with such instant and obvious results!
