This is a case where the posting has information that is contradictive. In what appears on the page when the posting is opened depicts material as brass. But, when you scroll down, the posting then says it is make out of ABS plastic. I should have inquired after the seller to verify which it is. If there is any brass in this product, it was vacuum deposited micron layer on the outside. Further, the operating button is hard to operate and not very solid. Very cheap feel. Unfortunately, it is the only option I have found that doesn't look like something from the 50's and matches better with the faucet we purchased. Amazon should really police this better but in the end, buyer beware.
