Our Pecan Oil is a local product, coming straight from Pointe Coupee Parish in Louisiana. We love the rich, nuttiness of this oil--we can't stop tasting it!
Pecan Oil is a heart-healthy cooking oil good for everyday use. Use this one for bread dipping. Drizzle it in a dish, sprinkle with a little sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, warm a baguette and dig in! Use it as a substitute it for other oils or butter in sauteing, frying and braising. Its nutty flavor isn't overpowering, making Pecan Oil excellent for salad dressings and marinades.
Pecan Oil is also a great choice for high-heat cooking. With a much higher smoke point than olive oil, Pecan Oil is a great choice for grilling, cast iron cooking and stir frying (remember, woks get really hot!) We featured this oil in episode one of our podcast when we cooked up . So delicious!
We added Pecan Oil instead of butter to our to change the consistency from crumb-like to cake-like... delicious!
